May I say I'm pleased to see that you've discovered the treasure that is Bowie's 'Lodger', a vastly underrated album IMO.
I've been a great fan of Lodger since I got it out of the local library in Mansfield in the mid 80s but it has over the years been stored away with all my other cassettes getting dusty under the stairs. Earlier this year I got it out of the Ipswich library and rediscovered it's brilliance. Libraries - fuckin' A! Socialism in action!
I had a similar rediscovery of Station to Station recently after hearing the title track at a party and *cough* 'found' it on the internet. A lot less complex and more of a grand statement than Lodger of course.
